OUR MISSION

We feel that the Arts are essential to the development of both children and adults. At Tony and Friends Art Studio, we teach Fine Art to both. Whether it's a painting class, drawing or cartooning, our instructors are very capable of bringing the student to a great feeling of pride and accomplishment. Our goal is to develop the student and to bring out the artist within! After 17+ years of doing just that, we feel very rewarded to see the development and increased skill levels of our students. We keep it a relaxed and fun atmosphere here, where people look forward to coming back each week!

Tony Carnesecchi/owner and instructor. My studio has been in this business for 21 years. We strive to bring out the artist in everyone who takes classes with us. Once you have painted or drawn something, you've become an artist! I have had a few students awarded scholarships to Colleges, so I know I'm doing something right! We hope you'll join us!

Karen Bourbon

Karen has taught at our studio for the past 19 years! A great teacher, she teaches children and adults. She is very conscientious and takes great pride in her teaching. All of her students respect and love her, the signs of a great teacher!

Eric Martin

Eric has been with us for 7 years now and he's one of the best cartoonists and character designers in the Fox Valley! Eric helps his students to improve their skills and brings out the best in them. We have some great students in his classes and one of them has recently been awarded a scholarship to College!

WEEKLY CLASS SCHEDULE

Classes range from 7 years old to 100! Find one to fit your needs! Students will need to bring a roll of paper towels to class! Some classes will require a canvas and paint fee.

NEW CLASS! Tuesday Watercolors, 11/14-12/5, 10am-Noon, 4 week session-$110.00 will include the use of the watercolor paints, brushes and paper!!Explore the techniques and learn different ways to add texture to you picture!

Tuesday; TEEN Independent Study, 11/28-12/19, 4:15-6:15, $120.00, 6 week session. Students will be taught by Tony. They will be encouraged to either paint or draw, and will need to purchase supplies for whichever medium they choose to do. Discount of 15% if purchased through the studio.

Wednesday Morning: Follow the Leader, 10:00am-1:00pm, $125.00, 11/22-12/20, 6 week session. There will be a canvas and paints fee for this class.

Wednesday: Independent Study, 6:30-9:30pm, 11/22-12/20, 6 weeks, $125.00. Students will need to purchase supplies.

Wednesday: Kids After School, 4pm-6pm, 11/29-12/20, $80.00, 4 week session. All supplies included. They will just need to bring a roll of paper towels.

Thursday Morning: Basic Drawing, 9:30-11:30am, 11/30-12/21, 6 weeks, $115.00. Students will need to purchase a sketch pad, drawing pencils and a kneaded eraser.

Thursday Evening: Learn the Basics of Painting, 6:30-8:30, 6 weeks, $125.00 includes all materials.

Friday Morning: Beginner Independent Study, 10am-1p, 11/24-12/22 6 weeks, $125.00. Students will need to purchase supplies.

***NEW CLASS*** Saturday morning: Follow the Leader, 10:00am-1:00pm, 10/28-12/23, 6 weeks, $125.00. There will be a canvas fee and a paints fee.

Saturday: Kids Painting, 10am-noon, 10/28-12/23, 6 weeks, $120.00. All supplies included.

Saturday: Cartooning and Character Design, 9am-11am, ages 7-13 and 11:30am-1:30pm, ages 14-19. Students will need a sketch book and various drawing pencils, kneaded eraser, which can be purchased at the studio for a discount. 10/28-12-23, 6 weeks, $120.00

MAY 22 begins NEW SESSIONS! I will be instructing a 3 hour monthly PAINT and TAKE IT workshop for adults, ages 16 and up! This session will be on painting a picture that I have done each month. It will consist of oil paints and acrylic paints, or both! I will lead you through the process of completing a painting in 3 hours, they will be on a 12x16 or a 11x14 canvas. These session's will be from 10am-1pm. Cost will be $40.00 per person, per session. Here are the months and dates I have chosen:

MAY 22, JUNE 19, JULY 24, AUGUST 28, SEPTEMBER 18, OCTOBER 23, NOVEMBER 20, and DECEMBER 18. Hope to see you then!

KIDS 1-DAY SPRING BREAK WORKSHOP

This workshop will be an acrylic painting of Spring! This workshop is the same as the kids winter break 1-day workshop, but Spring subject matter! Kids will need to bring a roll of paper towels, a morning snack, sack lunch and something to drink. The workshop will run 9am-3pm and the cost is $50.00, supplies included! The date this year are March 29 and 30, so you have 2 dates to choose from!

KIDS SUMMER CAMPS This year, our theme is "ANIMALS" Your children will complete acrylic and water color projects, along with Sculpey sculptures! They will have their very own Art Show on Friday at 2:30 where they will display all of the work they've done for the week! This camp runs Monday through Friday, 9am-3pm culminating with their own little Art Show at 2:30 on that Friday, to display all of the Artwork they've completed for the week! Includes all the supplies! Cost is only $225.00. Kids will need to bring a morning snack, a sack lunch, something to drink and a roll of paper towels. A smock or an old shirt is suggested, in case they get a little messy, no clogs or flip-flops please. We will watch your child until 4:30 if necessary, for an additional $35.00. The dates for these camps are: June 12-16, June 26-30, July 10-14 and August 7-11. This is a fun camp for the kids where they can be creative, make new friends and have some fun things to do for the week! Plus, it gives you a break!

KIDS 1-DAY WINTER WORKSHOP: This is a 1-day workshop, December . It runs from 9am-3pm and the cost is only $50.00 which includes all supplies! We will work on an acrylic painting for the day! The kids love it, and get to take home a very nice painting! PLUS, this gives you parents a day of rest after the Holiday! Kids need to bring a morning snack, a sack lunch, something to drink and a roll of paper towels. This winter the dates are DEC 27 and 28 . You have two days to choose from!

KIDS & ADULTS BIRTHDAY PAINTING PARTIES, ADULTS ANNIVERSARY PAINTING PARTIES & CORPORATE PAINTING PARTIES!

Kids Birthday Parties are 3 hours long. The painting is geared towards the subject matter that the birthday child chooses. ALL supplies are included and we do an acrylic painting. The birthday child is free of charge, the rest are $15.00/child. This is a fun way to celebrate their Birthday! The parent supplies the refreshments of their choosing.

Adult parties can be 3 to 4 hours long and the project is geared towards something they choose to paint! The painting can be done in acrylics or oils, sometimes both! Supplies are included and these parties are $40/adult. A regular stretched canvas is used. You supply the refreshments. It's a fun way to get together, and leave with a painting you'll be proud to hang in your home!

WE ALSO OFFER SCOUT TROOP ART BADGE PAINTING PARTIES!

CANVAS & COCKTAILS PAINTING PARTIES! We offer these

parties where we will paint in acrylics or oils, YOU get to choose the medium and the picture you would like your group to do! Minimum of 5 people, you bring the drinks and hors d'oeuvres. A fun way to get together with a group, socialize and go home with a nice painting you can hang in your home! Cost is only $40 for 4 hours! Schedule your party today!
